Write In Voting and Touch Screens
With the touch screen voting, writing in a candidate's name is a real pain in the arse. It's like typing on an old palm pilot with a stylus. If the name is long, it takes far longer than it would if you simply wrote the name in by hand. It's definately a deterrent.

I've actually found it easier. Before you had to write in the candidate on the envelope, and there was only room for one write in and it was confusing. This year, for all the BS judge races I didn't give a rat's arse about, I just typed in family members' names with the touch pad.
You have got to be kidding--it was easy as pie. Check write in, type name. No longer can you write in non qualified names thou. They have to be a declared write in candidate. If you thought it was difficult, you are the epitamy of a lazy ass.
I also liked the new ballots. I used to hate making sure everything lined up the old way. Also, when I was done I was able to look at it easily one last time to check for problems.
Was this David Orr's program? If so, he deserves credit. I thought it was a huge improvement.
I fumbled a little.
