Ballot mix-up

The Collinsville library, now known as the Mississippi Valley Public Library District, had a question for voters on the primary ballot which asked that certain areas be annexed into the library's district. Unfortunately, it appears as though St. Clair County did not have this question as part of their ballot today as they should have had and many in this area who intended to vote for, or against, could not. This initiative encompassed parts of both St. Clair and Madison Counties. The question was on the ballot in Madison.

The library director has been in touch with the county, the State Board of Elections and the library's attorney. It is believed there will be no quick solution or easy remedy.
