Stand up for Denmark in Chicago
Today's ralley inspired by Christopher Hitchens in front of Chicago's Danish Consulate. More pictures over at Bill Baar's West Side.
UPDATE: Michelle Malkin links all of the Chicago bloggers there today.
UPDATE: Andrew Marcus shot a video for Pajama Media. It's outstanding! Please check it out.

Michelle Malkin is totally bonkers, but I have always found her attractive. Much more so than Skeletor aka Ann Coulter.
Wow. Big crowd there. Rivals the immigration rally in size. I wonder how long they tied up traffic.
The Belmont Club did a post on non violent protest contrasting responses of Christian Peace Teams, and Wafa Sultan --the Arab American interviewed on Al Jazeera.
Wafa Sultan's answer is that you start by denouncing it. You begin by intellectually opposing the ideology that drives it; that legitimizes it; that portrays it as attractive to children from their cradle. The CPT website, on the other hand, says that denunciation is part of the problem, because it dehumanizes the denounced; hides our Western guilt; and shows a lack of tolerance and respect for Islam.
I don't like cartoons that denigrate a religion. But I want to say I stood up to anyone who threatened someone elses right to print those cartoons. I want to say I stood up to hateful ideology.
I think that kind of non violent protest has impact, even when our numbers small.
Remember none of this very organized. No one knew each other. It just rolled.
Love Hitchens, great writer.
