Physiological Testing for School Board Members & Union Negotiators

In the "Doesn't this beat all?" category goes this story.

It isn’t happening in McHenry County, but it is so off the wall that I want you to share it with you anyway.

Up in Harlem School District, located in the northernmost parts or Rockford and Machesney Park and nearby, the school board has hired someone to give Meyers-Briggs Personality Inventories to school board members and union negotiating representatives.

School board member Gloria Maloney's reaction:

Why would board members take a personality test given by a previous district administrator who is still friends with business office personnel prior to entering into negotiating the teacher's contract?

We didn't have an opportunity to discuss this as a board before we were supposed to fill it out and return it. I returned the forms, untouched, to the superintendent at the last meeting.
