Cedric Giles and Provident Hospital

CLTV had the Docs from Cook County's Provident Hospital doing a press conference last night from the ER room about Stroger's proposed cut for their budget. They said it would close the hospital. (Wasn't Tony Peraica supposed to do that?)

Googled around for the Provident story this AM and couldn't find it but stumbled accross this.

The son of a corrupt former Chicago alderman has received a major promotion into a $103,000-per-year job in the new administration of Cook County Board President Todd Stroger.

Cedric Giles, 33, is the county's new assistant comptroller, a position he was transferred into two weeks ago from his position as an accountant at Stroger Hospital, where he made $62,000.

"This is part of a growing pattern under Todd Stroger of politically connected people being handed six-figure jobs at the same time he's threatening to cut rank-and-file service workers," Commissioner Forrest Claypool said. "And that's a troubling trend."
Would love to hear Obama talk about the troubling trends.

Who wants to start up the pool as to when Todd Stroger gets indicted, and on how many counts?
