We're ICPR and We Had Fun Last Night

Cross posted from ICPR's blog, The Race is On:

What a wonderful evening last night. Sorry it was so crowded, but at least it looked like everyone was having a good time. And for political people watching, it was a great crowd: Sens Susan Garrett and Bill Brady, Don Harmon and Kirk Dillard; Reps Jim Durkin and Julie Hamos, former Gov. Jim Edgar and former Comptroller Dawn Clark Netsch; Senate Republican Leader Frank Watson and Chicago Ald. Manny Flores; Alexi Giannoulias and Stu Umholtz, Rep. Elaine Nekritz and Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica. I’m sure I’m forgetting some people, but that’s who I talked with.

Thanks to everybody who helped us to gather the campaign ads for the film festival and especially to Aaron Freeman, who explained them all to us. Thanks to Mike Lawrence, Newt Minow and the Peoria Journal-Star for doing so much work worthy of tribute. Thanks to our host committee, and to everybody who came. We’ll post pictures to the website as soon as we figure out how to get them off the camera.

There are few bigger hypocrites on the issue of political reform than Don Harmon. He allies himself with all the dirtiest machines on the West Side and Northwest Suburbs without uttering a word of criticism, and he did nothing when his machine allies sent their stooges to tear down his primary opponent's yard signs. He also is one of the biggest feeders at the trough of corporate political soft money. He may talk the political reform talk, but he couldn't walk further from the walk.

At least the old machine guys don't try to act like they believe in reform.

Manny Flores at a campaign finance reform issue is funny. LOL.
Just look at his financial disclosures and find out how much developer money he took. He gets tons of conflict of interest money.

Don Harmon is in bed with Skip Saviano and Billy Banks. Hardly campaign finance models. But they are family people.

Manny Flores may be a hypocrite but he is going places so keep an eye on him.

Flores is going nowhere.

Alexander the Lone (A)ranger looked like a deer in the headlites most of the nite. Guess he is wondering when the Trib will drop the next boot on his noggin.
What a great party

Manuel DuPage Flores is a sleazy phony reformer who takes a ton money from developers and John Quarters Boyle
