Get Karl Rove's Lawyers!

I think the Mayor's gonna need 'em.

Light blogging for me this week, but I'll google around for the analysis of the approaches Libby and Rove's lawyers took towards working with Fitzgerald and the Grand Jury.

They were very different, and explain why Libby indicted and why Rove -so far- avoided it. It's critical when the only crimes found are going to be perjury and obstruction of justice.

This below is not a good sign of what's going to hit the Mayor. From today's Sun Times,

In a confidential, sworn statement to federal investigators, Mayor Daley said his Office of Intergovernmental Affairs recommended people for city jobs but did not order their hiring, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.

Daley's statement, made to investigators last year, runs counter to what federal prosecutors say was the case. They say the mayor's IGA office routinely ordered city departments to hire or promote people based on politics.

Also, The Hearld is saying we'll see Protect Marriage on the ballot in November.

Opponents of Protect Marriage should be very quick to denounce what's happening in Mass with Catholic Charities. They're getting forced out of the adoption business because they do discriminate against same-sex couples in adoptions as part of their Catholic creed.

If that's the price Catholic Charities in Illinois will have to pay, this referendum will pass easily.

Democrats should reconsider the negative ads Blagojevich is running because Democrats and some of their key supporters are creating plenty of fodder for stuff to run against them this summer.
