Rauschenberger out

Rumor is that a candidate for LT will be also stepping down today.

In the meantime . . .

State Senator Steve Rauschenberger will announce today that he is stepping away from the five-way GOP race to run instead for lieutenant governor, joining with one of the four remaining, Ron Gidwitz.

Rauschenberger is the most aggressive, intellectually bright and legislatively experienced of the conservative candidates.

Forget LT, Steve. Run for re-election or for treasurer.

Thanks for the old news fran...and wait, for all the stupid talk about the "combine" I love how you'd "award" Taxenberger the nomination...If you really believe Taxenberger cares about the ILGOP you're dumber than I ever thought. He saw the writing on the wall, he had no chance...so now he gets to stay in the game a little longer...Fran, please, stop making a fool of yourself.
