CUB, SEIU push back at ComEd/CORE

SEIU has launched a new ad in response to the barrage of t.v. funded by CORE, aka ComEd, over the past month. The ad is pretty darn good, I think. You can see it here.

CUB Executive Director Dave Kolata had a really good piece in the Southtown's business section, comparing ComEd to "Chicken Little," proving once again you can be really, really negative as long as you're funny. Read the whole thing, but here's a couple excerpts:

In a quest to capture nearly $1 billion in rate hikes and make its parent company happy, ComEd is employing a potent combination of political muscle and misinformation in Illinois. This Chicken Little is on steroids.
SEIU has launched a new website too, www.StopComEdRateHike.org. The site's not bad, but could be much better. Some ambitious politico-technogeek should give them a call and try to boost that contract.
