(FROM THE ARTICLE: McCain is a problem for me. I thought maybe Obama might be a better choice if he could partner himself with someone I trust. That person is Sen. Hillary Clinton. I can trust her. I trust her more than McCain. If she were on the ticket, I might be able to accept Obama’s shortcomings, which have nothing to do with race, although race is being used to defend his shortcomings. Can’t criticize him because of his race. Question him too hard and you’re a racist. Say you won’t vote for him, and it’s because of his race. No. It’s because he doesn’t have a record of doing anything. He gave a great speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. But that’s all it was. Did he achieve any of the things he spoke about in his “inspiring” words? He’s wishy-washy, almost like he’ll say anything to make everyone happy. In the beginning, he took a courageous stand. He said we should talk to any nation’s leader, regardless of how they are painted in the biased mainstream American media, even a guy like Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez. Isn’t that better than simply going to war to help the oil companies, as we did on March 19, 2003 when President Bush, who barely could talk let alone talk to anyone, ordered our soldiers to a slaughter in Iraq? We’re not winning the war in Iraq, and Obama used to say that. Now he’s trying to say what voters want to hear, instead of telling voters what they must hear. The truth is ugly sometimes. But that’s what makes a great leader. Not some rhyming melody to his speeches. If Hillary Clinton is not Obama’s running mate, I’m going to have a very ugly choice. In the end, what’s really the difference between McCain and Obama? McCain is the devil I know, and oftentimes, especially in American politics, the “devil you know” is far better than the “devil you don’t know.”)
