WGN RTA Editorial video 1980

Check out this video from FuzzyMemories. This man is speaking about a study by the RTA about doing a study with regards to determining where in the suburbs could there be a need for more public transportation. Of course this man mentions that federal regulations prevents federally funded tranist from competing with privately owned school transit. According to him the RTA didn't do a whole lot of community input there.

The announcer who closes out that editorial mentions that in a policy of fairness they shall air an editorial from a qualified individual or organizations with an opposing view. I wonder if this is the fairness doctrine we hear about from time to time in force. Also I wonder why TV stations doesn't do this anymore.
