Diane, This is a wonderful Feature!
I know the survey was just a popularity contest, and a setup for certain buildings to win, but...there are no Chicago Churches or Synagogues included in the list. I will just toss out, Fourth Presbyterian, Quigley Prep (St. James), St. Paul's in Pilsen, Second Presbyterian on S. Michigan, St. Thomas the Apostle in Hyde Park, and St. Andrews Greek Orthodox. Five Masterpieces, by any measure, missing in action.
Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the world for Church Architecture, it must be noted.
JBP
I echo JBP. All one needs to do is ride the Kennedy Expressway and you can see four or five churches that should be on the list.
