Governor Can't Be Tried in Office

I caught heat from the Blagojevich supporters the last time I ran a playful headline about the patronage problems that Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher having been “criminally charged with rewarding political supporters with protected sate jobs,” as the AP put it Friday.

Now, the good news has come for Kentucky’s governor that he can’t be tried while in office.

Of course, it was not the U.S. Attorney after the governor in Kentucky.

Here's a longer story on the Kentucky situation.

For those not from Illinois, Illinois Democratic Party Governor Rod Blagojevich is in the photo on the right, while Kentucky Republican Party Govvernor Ernie Fletcher is on the laft.

Question: Did Fletcher run his last campaign under the ruse of "No More Business as Usual?"
Governor Hairdo did and now he's backpedaling, saying he had no hand in the political hirings.
No one should believe a thing that man says.

Blago is done, put a fork in him
the question is before or after the general election
and if Topinka is too stupid to exploit it
or if the electorate is too stupid to recognize Ryan II

Cal,

I had a long talk with your pal and mine - Jack Higgins of the CST.
He wanted to convey his best wishes.

I agree with you 100% about Paul Vallas's pale stand-in, but I detest the jackal-pack treatment meted out on a guy out with his kids.

Fair game on him in the work-week, but the State Fair with little kids in tow is BS.

I certainly admire Jack Higgins' editorial cartoons.

This post was not prompted by the State Fair confrontation, however.

Not at all, Cal, I was just venting.

You are far too much of a Christian gentleman to do so. Great parallel issue in your post.

Of course, if Judy wins, then this story will be a moot point!

Judy might win in spite of herself
