' . . . ready to do this one at a time when I get my daughter taken care of, - here I'll start with you tough guy - I hope you can do elephant ears blended.'
I am not a fan of the Governor, but dealing with a shower of bastards with no guts or decency and then having them make a joke of it is the limit.
Too many young guns in journalism come from generations that never understood the meritricious efficacy of an earned ass-kicking.
If the pukes involved with this sorry incident were not handed their asses by their editors they should be - take on the man who ran and leave his children alone. Pusillanimus pencil-necks.
Are you wacky? The Gov essentially used his own daughter as a human shield to protect him from questions he can't answer.
According to people there, she was fine until he picked her up (read into that what you will), and then he conveniently used that as an excuse to have his security detail shoo away the reporters.
What he did is despicable but totally in keeping with his character.
This guy is going to absolutely crumble in front of the questioning he is going to start getting in the very near future.
My guess is he comes up with some excuse to cut himself up with the media.
In my opinion, this display was the beginning of the end.
“My recommendation to you is don’t just look for facts so you can write the story you want to write, look for facts so you can find the truth,...”
My recommendation to the governor is don’t just look for part of the facts so you can write the budget or press release you want to write, look for facts so you can find the truth; make a budget that's honestly balanced with regard to the revenue and old obligations before making new, flashy ones; deliver the reform you promised; and move the state forward without blaming your problems on somebody else.
F#*#ing stupid or what!!! Give me a F#*#ing break. I'm doing everything I can to get things right. You are falling right into the right-wing hate-mongers trap, and in the mean time, you are upsetting my little girl by badgering me. I am about to take my gloves off, and it aint gonna be pretty.
"Are you guys tring to badger me, like you did George Ryan?? Listen, it's all George's fault. All the problems in my office are just a result of some bad apples from George Ryan! You're all just silly!" Using his daughter to deflect criticism or questioning is the ultimate reflection on what type of parent he is. Patti should be proud.

Hickey,

The governor is disgusting hiding behind his kids. He is such a vomittingly disgusting human being.
The media is sick
Rod Blagojevich is MONSTROUS
he is inhuman
He should resign. He should not be governor. I just wish Topinka was not such a clown and mediocre at best as an official.

Rod married to become an elected official, he used his stupid wife and used poor Dick Mell.
going to tell every one about my wifes former "insurance company".
"I'm doing everything I can to get things right."
ROFL!!! You have got to be kidding me!
"You are falling right into the right-wing hate-mongers trap, and in the mean time, you are upsetting my little girl by badgering me..."
And that trap is set by the "rightwing" media in Illinois? Wait a minute... something here isn't right

Actually its' all my daughter's fault. But you've all made her cry, I'm not ever coming down here again (Springfield).
...ready to babysit while I finish glad-handing here at the Iowa State Fair? I've got people to see and checks to collect here in Litchfield."
