I was so proud when not one single Republican Party vote was cast for the riverboat gambling bill in the earliest of the 1990’s.
Today readers of the Chicago Tribune are greeted with a headline reading,
House GOP’s $5 billion capital plan built on gamblingHow sad.

Have to admit Cal that JBT was up front during the elections about using gambling to help solve the budget problem. I think the GOP's been a little more upfront the Dems have been with this gross receipt tax lurking in progressive minds.
Cal's sadness shows why the GOP is in it's current state...bravo to Tom Cross and the moderate GOP for leading!
