Daley will win big.
Taxes will go up.
The urban core will be just for average income of $250,000 per year with average home/townhome/condo at about $800,000.
The city will become more white.
More scandal and corruption. Certain insiders will make a fortune.
Obama will become the President. Patrick Fitzgerald will be the US Attorney in Anchorage. His successor will drop all political corruption investigations around Mayor Daley or his allies.
Shakman will be ignored. Patronage will be stronger than ever.
The alderman will vote 90% for Daley, a little less than before.
More corruption but no one will care.
Obama for President.
Daley for Mayor.
I just need to make more money.
What about Sandi Jackson. She looks like she wants to run for Mayor someday.
Troutman lost in a landslide. Beavers lost. Joe Moore the duck liver embarresment in a run off.... and an former aid to Madigan knocks out Natarus.
Chicago as theme park populated by a core of part time city dwellers in condos maybe not universally accepted.
Hickey needs to eat a half a dish (not a whole one) of crow with the rasberry wine and shallots on the rice.
He was right that Virginia Rugai would win straight out.
But he was predicting Sommerville would come in 3rd and be in single digits.
Eat some crow Paddy. You don't have to clean the plate but at least a couple of bites.
Enjoyed the wings and drum sticks for breacky as a matter of fact!
Try not to take the Hansel and Gretel tale too seriously, deepthinkers - there is not really a gingerbread house deep in the forest - wait a minute! Young Master Stroger may have ordered one - worth a stroll through Dan Ryan Woods I suppose - no, where was I? Oh yes.
Did I mention that I thought that Tim Sheehan would beat Somerville?
I did - yes I did - but please also remember - I am just a simple uncomplex fellow - I am no Dick Simpson.
All in all quite satisfying! Including the breafast fowl.
Wish I had a couple of nickles to rub together, as there will be bargain basement prices available on some bum properties here in the 19th Ward - this AM. I also suspect that there might be a few long pusses around the proverbial kitchen tables for quite a few semesters.
