Lake County Forest Preserve Tax Hike Committee Gets Funding
I don't follow Lake County politics much, but when I saw a political action committee reporting over $500 contributions, I decided to look into the details.
It's called Friends of the Forest Preserves.
Five contributors donated $38,500.
The details follow:
$25,000 – William Crown, Wauconda
$5,000 – Christopher Burke Engineering Ltd, Rosemont
$5,000 – Quarles & Brady LLP, Chicago
$2,500 – George Covington, Lake Bluff
$1,000 – Harrison & Associates Inc, Woodstock
Since the group started out on July 1st with $27,355.74, it now has about $65,000 to spend.
That won't go very far in a county as big as Lake.
