GOPUSA ILLINOIS Daily Clips - October 12, 2008
Only 23 days until the election! Early voting starts tomorrow, Monday, October 13!
DIERSEN QUESTIONS: Many of Obama's supporter are very critical of capitalism. Many of Obama's supporters have no problem with socialism. Many of Obama's supporters (INCLUDING CASTRO) have no problem with communism. Many of Obama's supporters have no problem with other forms of government. How many Obama supporters will sell stocks tomorrow to drive America's economy further down to elect Obama? How many McCain supporters will sell stocks tomorrow because they fear that Obama will be elected and America's economy will go down even further?

CHICAGO TRIBUNE
-- DIERSEN HEADLINE: VERY VERY VERY SAD: Castro joins Obama supporters in demonizing and denigrating McCain supporters as being racists, and Castro goes one further, Castro all but calls McCain supporters assassins. Castro is a communist who hates capitalism and who hates America. His endorsement of Obama is one more of thousands and thousands of reasons to vote for McCain.

(THE AP REPORT: Ex-Cuban leader Fidel Castro says racism prevents millions in US from supporting Barack Obama HAVANA - Fidel Castro says a "profound racism" in the United States will stop millions from voting for Barack Obama in next month's presidential election. The ailing, 82-year-old former Cuban president says it is "a miracle that the Democratic candidate hasn't suffered the same luck as (assassinated leaders) Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and others who harbored dreams of equality and justice." Castro's written comments were published by state media Saturday. In them, he insists a "profound racism" exists in the U.S. and that millions of whites "cannot reconcile themselves to the idea that a black person. . .could occupy the White House, which is called just that: white." Castro also described Republican presidential candidate John McCain as "bellicose.")

-- Don't criticize Palin for linking Obama to Ayers So the Obama campaign and its media flacks are in an uproar about Gov. Sarah Palin mentioning the senator's longtime friendship with William Ayers. I guess they wonder what all the flap is about. In the Sept. 11, 2001, edition of the New York Times, the day terrorists killed 3,000 Americans, Mr. Ayers was quoted as saying that not only was he unrepentant about his (and his wife's) actions in trying to blow up police stations and the Pentagon, but he was sorry he didn't commit more acts of terrorism. That the campaign and the media feel this is out-of-bounds criticism tells one volumes about Democrats and their sense of the issues of a campaign. If a Republican was associated with a known terrorist, does anyone believe it would be "out of bounds"? That's a rhetorical question. - Bob Bronson, Aurora
