HERALD NEWS
-- FROM THE ARTICLE: Four years ago, as Barack Obama was running for Senate, the Republican Party scrambled for a replacement opponent when Jack Ryan left the ballot amid a wash of controversy. Marty Ozinga was on the party's short list of stand-ins, but the party instead chose conservative activist Alan Keyes. "It would have been me vs. Obama," Ozinga recounted, a smile on his face. "The race was lost at that point. There was only a few more weeks, (but) I would have gotten to meet Obama."

SUBURBAN LIFE PUBLICATIONS
-- VERY SAD: Jerry Moore continues to harass Diersen. Moore deliberately misspells Diersen's name eleven times.
http://suburbanshoutout.wordpress.com/2008/10/18/dielsen-ignores-blog-posting-taking-on-tribs-endorsement-of-obama/
(Email Moore sent Diersen at 8:37 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2008: "I was pleased to read this morning that you and other Republicans enjoyed yourself at the Oktoberfest last night. Hope it was a success. I would have enjoyed covering the event, so you should send me an invitation next time. If you let me know of events a few days beforehand, I'll have more time to plan coverage. I was disappointed that you didn't include my blog posting yesterday on the Chicago Tribune's endorsement of Barack Obama on GOPUSA Illinois this morning. I believed I raised some valid questions about the Trib's decision to back Obama over John McCain, points I'm sure your readers would like to consider. Isn't this the goal of your Web site, to provide news and commentary of interest to Republicans? I'd still like to know your thought on what G. Gordon Liddy did in the White House that could be described as patriotic. If you'd like space on my blog, please ask and I'll give it to you. How can I be more accommodating in an effort to get an answer from you? Anyway, thanks for putting up with me. Take care.")

READERS DIGEST
-- DIERSEN HEADLINE: Tragically, countries, organizations, and people that hate America, that hate Republicans, that hate conservatives, and that hate Whites have succeeded in turning much of the world opinion against America. The overwhelming majority of citizens of all the other countries of the world put their own country's interests ahead of America's interests. Outrageously, many of citizens of all the other countries of the world blame America for their own problems. Therefore, sadly, but not surprisingly, overwhelmingly, citizens of other countries want Obama elected instead of McCain. Why? They believe that Obama will put their country's interests ahead of America's interests. They believe that Obama will blame America and blame Americans for all the world's problems and they believe that McCain will put America's interests before their interests. That is just one more reason why Americans should vote for McCain.
http://www.rd.com/your-america-inspiring-people-and-stories/global-poll-how-the-world-sees-the-2008-election/article102257.html

THE OBVIOUS: With each passing day, the record grows stronger and stronger to assess the adequacy of what the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), IRP State Central Committee members, Illinois Republican County Chairman's Association, Illinois Republican county parties, Illinois Republican township parties, Illinois Republican Cook County ward parties, and Illinois Republican precinct committeemen did or failed to do to help elect Republicans on November 4, 2008. According to the Milton Township Republican Central Committee's bylaws at Article III, Section 2, mandatory duties of precinct committeemen include: "Inform the Republican voters in his or her precinct of the dates, times, and polling places for all Primary and General Elections in which candidates are running for office as Republican Party candidates." and "Distribute campaign literature provided by Republican Party Candidates to the Republican voters in his or her precinct." According to the DuPage County Election Commission, precinct committeeman expectations include "Provide candidate and election information to the voters." Sadly, you can count on "Republican" Combine members, "Republicans" who want to be Combine members, "Republicans" who work for Combine members, and "Republicans" who lack what it takes to stand up to Combine members to blame any Republican losses on conservatives, that is, on Republicans who support the Republican Party platform.
