Nostalgia from '93

Please enjoy this photo of a button from a private fund raiser for Jon Burge in 1993. The fund raiser was held at a Union Hall on Ashland Avenue. I'm told attendance was surprisingly high for the event and that tickets had cost $50 bucks a pop. Photo by Dan L.

Congressman Lipinksi, Congressman Russo, than State Rep candidate Rod Blagojevich among other alderman, and wannabee politicians were there also. Dick Devine was there as were many states attorneys.

Dan you do a service in exposing the real truth on this issue and not the cop hating media hype.

There is a reason Burge was so popular.

Lots of people supported him and backed him up.

The question is, what's the reason?

We keep on talking about Burge. What about talking about what those animals the Wilsons did.
They gunned down in cold blood, assassinated, two great Police officers and pissed on them and were stone cold animals.

Whatever Burge did was justified. I have no sympathy for these animals.

Burge solved crimes and nobody that was sent to jail was not a criminal. Crime was lowered because of Jon Burge.

The pansy politicians catering to the Jesse Jackson's and the media wanted crime lowered, wanted to solve these crimes, and wanted real cops like Jon Burge to do his job, but than they forget him and act like they didn't know anything.
These politicians knew everything and wanted it and it was good for this City.

Burge is a hero. He deserves a medal.

If any of you liberals worked one day in the ghetto you would be killing and torturing people to.
You think it is easy to work as a police in a jungle.

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that. I believe the attendance was in the thousands, though I had no there were high profile types there.

Do we remember who ran the fundraiser?

Was the event held at the FOP or the Plumber Local 130 or Back hoe local 150 boyz?

The FOP and individual police officers organized the event.

Now State's Attorney Richard Devine was there as was Judge Kunkle.

It was very well attended. Lots of people including some dignatiries, and dignataries sending representatives.

Daley had no guts on Burge and Burge let people know. Daley did take care of some other good cops through the meritorious promotions which are bs anyway.

Nothing will ever happen while Burge is alive. The earlier posts of Burge being a heroe and getting an award were right on.

Wow, I thought I was alone. From what all my Police and Fireman friends have said John Burge was a cops cop, a real hero. I knew that the Wilson brothers shot the Police Officers and took the guns but I never knew that they pissed on the bodies of the slain officers, now that puts the ass whooping they got into a better perspective for me. When I see the burned out hippie commie lawyers on TV it makes me sick !!! If you are so concerned for justice why don't you help the victims, let's bring John Burge back as Police Superintendent.

It is good the Wilson brothers were tortured. They should of been executed two. Let's talk about the torture they did and the killings they did and their crimes.
Most of these murdering, drug dealing rapists that got righteously fucked up in Area 2 deserved it. They were low life scumbags who had it coming. They killed people. They raped people. They robbed and sold drugs. They were vicious subhuman animals. Burge and many other good cops did what they had to do. Like in Iraq, you think it is easy seeing these terrorists blow up your friends and do roadside bombings and terrorist attacks? Men like Burge knew how to get things done. Just like our Marines and soldiers in the sandbox fighting so we don't have to on American soil.

STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

The above posts are hurting police officers and not helping them.

This is insane and flies in the face of all logic and decency.
