POLITICO
-- VERY VERY VERY SAD: This will get GOP insiders a buzzin' - Jonathan Martin
http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0308/This_will_get_GOP_insiders_a_buzzin.html
(THE POSTING: Via Playbook, I see that Bob Novak has the below item in his notebook column tomorrow. "John McCain's team that is taking over the Republican Party has decided on Bobbie Greene Kilberg, a liberal Republican from Virginia long detested by conservatives, to run the party's national convention in St. Paul, Minn., in August. "Kilberg, as an aide to President George H.W. Bush in 1990, promoted White House overtures to gay activists. She won an internal power struggle over gay politics with fellow Bush assistant R. Douglas Wead, who was fired as White House liaison to religious conservatives. When Kilberg appeared on television by McCain's side the night of Feb. 12 after he won the Virginia primary, her presence was resented by conservatives as a sign of contempt for them." This means little to the outside political world, but will create a stir among the elite of the elite within national and state GOP circles. UPDATE: A McCain aide says that Kilberg has not been tapped to run the convention and is only serving as a liaison with the RNC. McCain has not decided yet on who will run the convention, said this source.)
RUSH LIMBAUGH
-- VERY VERY VERY SAD: Novak: McCain Names Liberal Babe to Run GOP Convention
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_032108/content/01125104.guest.html
(THE POSTING: McCain has picked a huge, huge, not an independent Republican, not a moderate Republican. He has picked a liberal Republican to run the Republican National Convention, a woman, according to Bob Novak. She was involved in the George H. W. Bush administration with some kind of outreach. It's in the stack here somewhere. That's a slap in the face. "John McCain's team that is taking over the Republican Party has decided on Bobbie Greene . . ." This is a female, "Bobbie Greene Kilberg, liberal Republican from Virginia, long detested by conservatives, to run the party's national convention in St. Paul in September. Kilberg, as an aide to President George H. W. Bush in 1990, promoted White House overtures to gay activists. She won an internal power struggle over gay politics with fellow Bush assistant R. Douglas Weed, who was fired as White House liaison to religious conservatives. When Bobbie Greene Kilberg appeared on television by McCain's side on the night of February 12th after he won the Virginia primary, her presence was resented by conservatives as a sign of contempt for them." What else are conservatives supposed to think? This is McCain saying, "Screw you guys! I know who my base is. I know where I want my support to come from, and I'm going to go out there and I'm going to get it and I'm going to let this babe run my convention."

CHAMPION NEWS
-- John Kass is right, says conservatives aren’t the problem - Doug Ibendahl
http://www.championnews.net/article.php?sid=880
(THE ARTICLE: The Chicago Tribune's John Kass has another excellent column this Sunday called In Combine, cash is king, corruption is bipartisan. It's a must read. Here is just an excerpt: "'In the final analysis, The Combine's allegiance is not to a party, but to their pocketbooks. They're about making money off the taxpayers,' [Peter] Fitzgerald said. He should know. He fought The Combine and lost, and the empty suits running the Republican Party encourage their friendly scribes to blame the social conservatives for the disaster of the state GOP. Conservatives aren't the problem. Corruption is the problem." Truer words were never spoken. Good Republicans need to get to the Republican State Convention in Decatur this summer before these empty suits do even more damage to our once proud Illinois GOP. It's time to say "enough is enough." It's time to restore some honest, professional leadership. If you're a Republican voter, the Illinois Republican Party belongs to YOU don't forget, not to some old circle of incompetent moneychangers. Learn how to become a state delegate: All hands on deck for the Republican State Convention in June. But you need to act quickly. Time is of the essence to become a delegate with the power to vote for positive change. Doug Ibendahl is a Chicago Attorney and a former General Counsel of the Illinois Republican Party. He is Co-Founder of Republican Young Professionals (RYP).)
ILLINOIS REVIEW
-- Wright had it better than I - Fran Eaton
http://illinoisreview.typepad.com/illinoisreview/2008/03/wright-had-it-b.html
(THE COMMENTARY: Please excuse me if I take some time over the next few weeks to spew hatred and damn America on Illinois Review. After all, I'm entitled. I've been cheated. I'm not a millionaire. I'm not famous. I'm not highly educated. I am not a man. Even Dr. Jeremiah Wright had it better than I did. This week, Barack Obama told the world we needed to excuse the horrific anger and animosity spewing out of his "uncle's" mouth. It's understandable, he said. . .after all, Wright's the product of living through America's pre-60s black bigotry. Oh really? Just a brief perusal of the Illinois General Assembly's website, and we find a very different scenario, something George Dienhart tapped into yesterday. Indeed, on March 11, 2008, just as the Wright controversy broke nationally, our Illinois House agreed to a resolution extolling Wright's retirement from Trinity United Church of Christ. The resolution was sponsored by State Rep. Monique Davis of Chicago, who represents that district to the IL House, and who is reported to be regularly seen at Trinity. Read the resolution HERE -- you'll learn a little more about the so-called hard life Dr. Wright has endured. But the real eye opener is another resolution Rep. Davis sponsored in 2007, to honor Wright's 35 years at Trinity. In this resolution HERE, it says that Dr. Wright is the third generation of Wrights who graduated from college -- his grandparents first graduating from Virginia Union in 1900. For a lowly girl raised in St. Louis suburbs by Ozark-bred parents of whom neither attended nor graduated from high school, I have reason to feel cheated. Dr. Wright's family was more educated than mine was. He's privileged. I had it rougher than him. I'll bet he never heated water on a stove to take a bath nor put coal in a furnace first thing in the morning. I did. I'm angry . . .)

Oh boy, two Diersen posts in a row. Wonderful.
How can you give Doug Ibendahl any credbility here? He lost EVERY election in the last 2 committeeman races. He won NOTHING.
Moreover, he was part of the combine. Doug Ibendahl was a lawyer at a big Combine big corporate law firm. Doug Ibendahl worked for the Illinois GOP under the same people going to jail now and knew Jim Thompson.
Cathy Santos, the commom law wife/mistress/girlfriend (real good family values--maybe get married and don't live together) of Doug Ibendahl worked for LIBERAL DEMOCRATS who supported the Combine, higher taxes, abortion on demand and homosexual special rights including her sister MWRD Commissioner Cynthia Santos (involved in scandal) and HDO and Alderman Richard Mell supported former State Rep Richard Bradley who made way for an openly lesbian state rep whose number 1 issue is gay marriage.
Doug Ibendahl and Cathy Santos have no credibility in Illinois politics. They are not really conservatives but Combine RINO Republicans and actual Democrats.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WATCH CBS CHANNEL 2 NEWS CHICAGO 10:00 p.m. March 24, 2008. The Chicago Department of Water Management is a scary place to be.
