-- Illegal immigrants do not have rights - John M. Rowley, Lombard
http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=196121
(THE LETTER: A recent Daily Herald article on immigration, which stated that activists plan to show that "their political power" exists, bubbles with antagonism. What political power do illegal aliens have? They don't legally have the right to vote. In fact, what right do they have to protest? They do so from a criminal perspective, as a result of breaking the laws of the United States. Persons who support those who break the law strongly establish the notion that legal as well as illegal individuals have the privilege to choose which laws they wish to obey. Such a flawed viewpoint creates an atmosphere of outrageous proportion. The legislators who stress amnesty are just attempting to cover their anti-American performance in failing to enforce the immigration laws passed by Congress. They are just as guilty as the illegal aliens whose illegal actions they choose to follow. Whom do they represent, legal citizens of the United States or every invader of a country founded on specific laws that govern our nation? "Reformation immigration laws" do not free those who have broken the immigration laws from criminal consequences. The Mexican protesters who chose to criticize American immigration laws demonstrated their dislike of the United States by flying Mexican flags above upside-down United States flags. They indelibly revealed their allegiance to Mexico and not to the United States. Their desire to protest should take place within Mexican borders and not in the United States. They should not hold small U.S. flags in their hands as they band together in false protest. It's time that cowardly legislators and administrative personnel who pursue illegal amnesty resign if they're incompetent to enforce the laws of the United States.)

-- It ain’t that hard folks - make better cars Jay Leno advises Detroit on how to get Americans to buy American - Jay Leno
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24714435/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Nobody builds better trucks than the Americans do. Not even the Japanese build as good a truck as the Ford F-150 or the Chevy Silverado. It’s the same with performance cars. The Corvette Z06 has 505 horsepower, comes with a big warranty, and can hit 200 miles per hour. It weighs almost exactly the same as a half-million-dollar Porsche Carrera GT and gets higher mileage — 26 miles per gallon.)
