VISION Act Proposed by Roskam to change Energy Policy
Congressman Peter Roskam joins hosts Jack Conaty and Dane Placko on Fox Chicago Sunday to talk about his VISION for Energy Independence in 15 years. Roskam's Energy VISION Act would drastically lower gas prices while setting America on a path to independence through increased domestic production, increased conservation and efficiency standards and the promotion of alternative energy.

This guy is a joke. He is so much an insignificant back bencher you could not find him with a GPS. As far as his "vision" it only goes as far as cleaning up "dirty" books our troops might see.
Dupage... better than defending a 54 cent per Gallon on imported ethanol gift of Durbin and Obama to ADM...how much sense does that make?
Or Durbins kowtow to the Oil Speculator over at CME...since when have Progressives been in bed with the speculators?
Dear Bill
I am shocked, shocked, that a liberal or conservative politician would be in bed with any lobbyiest.
At least it doesn't happen on the state level.
I think McCain is on right track, give tax credit, not deduction to those who buy a hydrogen or electric or sun powered or whatever car, exempt profits for those manufactuires who sell them and keep gas at $4 a gallon when OPEC drops p[rice with taxes going to help in good old USA
Roskam comes across as sensible and informed here. I still think anyone planning for US Energy Independence needs to learn quite a bit more about trade in commodities.
Oil is shipped all over the world every day. It is a world market. You can't just opt out of it. The price (and supply) of oil in Norway is directly related to the price (and demand) in DuPage county. You can't just pass a law and claim this is not so.
Anyone looking to the airline industry for advice (as Rep Roskam mentions) on how to run a business should seek immediate psychiatric care.
