PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE
-- McCain & La Raza
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/opinion/archive/s_577219.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: John McCain today is poised to make the biggest mistake of his 2008 presidential run. The presumptive Republican nominee will address the annual convention of the National Council of La Raza in San Diego. La Raza is billed by too many as simply "the nation's largest Hispanic rights group." But this is perhaps the most radical apologist group for illegal immigration and the "rights" of illegal aliens -- and worse. Columnist Michelle Malkin has been a consistent chronicler of La Raza's proclivities. It sponsors taxpayer-financed "militant ethnic nationalist charter schools." It "has perfected the art of the politically correct shakedown at taxpayer expense" and "partnering with banks that do business with illegals." And it "thrives on ethnic supremacy -- and the elite sheeple's unwillingness to call it what it is," Ms. Malkin says. And John McCain yet again will stand before such a group today? John McCain yet again will legitimize behavior that, practiced by anyone else, quickly would be exposed and vilified as the racism that it is?)

DUPAGE COUNTY DEMOCRAT PARTY
-- DIERSEN HEADLINE: VERY SAD: DuPage County Democrat Party Executive Director Amy Tauchman promotes Obama, promotes the July 19 "Democratic DuPage Blues Fest" in Willowbrook, argues that Democrats are not happy "with the results of 30 years of Republican rule in DuPage," and argues that “the new Democratic party is economically conservative and socially liberal - Latte liberal." Obama says places like DuPage County are boring and he rejects everything that makes DuPage County prosperous and safe. So why do the Latte liberals come to DuPage County? So why do the Latte liberals stay in DuPage County? So why do the Latte liberals want to take over DuPage County?
http://www.wegoweb.net/blog/archives/497-OBAMA-FEVER-GRIPS-DUPAGE-COUNTY.html
(THE ARTICLE: OBAMA FEVER GRIPS DUPAGE COUNTY In the weeks leading up to the Democratic DuPage Blue Fest, signs point to a healthy turn out in this once reliable Republican stronghold. An exciting Democratic nominee and Illinois native-son Barack Obama, in conjunction with tough economic and tumultuous international times, has prompted a surge of new activity in DuPage. Executive Director of the DuPage Democratic Party, Amy Tauchman, states that “you would not believe how many different kinds of people, of all races and backgrounds and ages, come into our office everyday looking to see if they can help. Many of these people say they have never been involved in politics before, and want to help further Democratic platforms and work for Obama.” DuPage County is showing signs of becoming a swing district, and a Democratic fest happening on July 19th in Willowbrook may very well be a testament to just how supportive the county is of Democratic principles and candidates. Tauchman states that “people are starting to realize that they’re not the only Democrat on their block and they are ready to network with other Democrats in a productive way. They aren’t any happier with the results of 30 years of Republican rule in DuPage than they are with the last 8 years of the Bush Administration.” Democratic Party volunteer and political scientist, Robert M. Worthington, was in Glen Ellyn in May, canvassing for DuPage Democratic County Board candidate Rich Dunn, and observed the number of households that had Obama 08’ signs up. “In 2004,” Worthington said “many people may have been reluctant to put up a Kerry sign in DuPage, where they now enthusiastically support Obama.” Worthington further observes that “the new Democratic party is economically conservative and socially liberal—the ‘latte liberals’ as the media enjoys portraying them.” Worthington continues “This is the essence of the population that lives in DuPage . . . an entire constituency who are embracing these common ideals, so it is little surprise to me there is so much excitement in the air in DuPage County among Democrats and independents, and it wouldn’t surprise me if you saw high attendance at this fest as a result.” “Latte liberal” is a term coined by the media to describe affluent, white, urban and suburban, usually college educated voters; the same constituency that exists in. . .)
