(THE ARTICLE: DuPage County's acting chief judge, George Bakalis, has announced the names of three local lawyers who were selected to fill open associate judge positions in the 18th judicial circuit. They are Neal W. Cerne, Peter W. Ostling and Richard D. Russo. The county's sitting circuit judges selected the trio after interviewing a long list of candidates. Cerne, of Naperville, is a partner in the Wheaton family law firm of Cerne & McSwain. He also has served as president and director of the DuPage County Bar Association. Ostling, of Elmhurst, operates a law firm in Elmhurst and is a former U.S. Navy officer/attorney. Russo also runs a law firm in Wheaton. He is a former Chicago police officer.)
