How about an Obama post for the new year

Check out this out from a Chicago website IBC34 about why they're supporting Sen. Barack Obama for President of the United States.

I cannot support Barack Obama until he lifts his silence on the torture in Area 2 and Area 3 and Jon Burge.

Sen. Obama still looks like a subsidiary of the Chicago machine. All you have to do is recognize he was on the gravy train from his days as an appointed state legislator with wonderful deals on real estate and spectacular promotions for his wife at work.

I shudder to think of what the influence of the Daley clan would be in an inexperienced President like BO.

There is no chance that BO would even consider saying anything negative about his bosses

Is that site for real? If that is supposed to be a reason to vote for Obama, it didn't convince me.

I agree with IBC34, and its evident here, the crab mentality is strong.
Some people don't know the meaning of "tact" You cannot win a popular election if you are unpopular. Barack is popular and is wise not to alienate himself from potential voters. It won't be just one race of people that put Barack in office it will be all races.
Be patient, the wheel is finally beginning to turn. It is cunning not force, that will win this race.

I think the statement on IBC34 about Obama being the only candidate in which many of us have anything in common with rings very true. His life style may be different, but he understands what it is to be black in white America, to raise your children in a society that minimises their value based on their skin color.
As for some of the other comments: Some races put more value in their children than others, Sadly unlike other races African Americans "on a whole" do not invest in their children's future. They do not see the importance of our children's "mental well being" for our future.
It is one of mental the scars still festering from slavery times.
