GOPUSA ILLINOIS
-- Concerning Trump, what would you do if your were the GOPUSA Illinois Editor? - Dave Diersen
Based on my experience serving as your GOPUSA Illinois Editor since 2000, I will come under ever-increasing pressure from anti-Trumps to blacklist Trump and to blacklist Trump's supporters, that is, a) to not include links in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that are pro-Trump and/or pro-Trump supporters, b) to only include links in GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails that are anti-Trump and/or anti-Trump supporters, c)  to glorify and praise anti-Trumps, and d) to demonize, denigrate, and condemn Trump and Trump's supporters.  What would you do if your were the GOPUSA Illinois Editor?  If I do not do what the anti-Trumps want me to do, they will work even harder a) to stop me from putting GOPUSA ILLINOIS together and sending them and b) to stop everyone from reading the emails.

PATRICK J. BUCHANAN
-- The Donald & The La Raza Judge
http://buchanan.org/blog/donald-la-raza-judge-125323
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Before the lynching of The Donald proceeds, what exactly was it he said about that Hispanic judge? Stated succinctly, Donald Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over a class-action suit against Trump University, is sticking it to him. And the judge’s bias is likely rooted in the fact that he is of Mexican descent. Can there be any defense of a statement so horrific? Just this. First, Trump has a perfect right to be angry about the judge’s rulings and to question his motives. Second, there are grounds for believing Trump is right. On May 27, Curiel, at the request of The Washington Post, made public plaintiff accusations against Trump University — that the whole thing was a scam. The Post, which Bob Woodward tells us has 20 reporters digging for dirt in Trump’s past, had a field day. And who is Curiel? An appointee of President Obama, he has for years been associated with the La Raza Lawyers Association of San Diego, which supports pro-illegal immigrant organizations. Set aside the folly of letting Clinton surrogates like the Post distract him from the message he should be delivering, what did Trump do to be smeared by a bipartisan media mob as a “racist”? He attacked the independence of the judiciary, we are told. But Presidents Jefferson and Jackson attacked the Supreme Court, and FDR, fed up with New Deal programs being struck down, tried to “pack the court” by raising the number of justices to 15 if necessary. Abraham Lincoln leveled “that eminent tribunal” in his first inaugural, and once considered arresting Chief Justice Roger Taney. The conservative movement was propelled by attacks on the Warren Court. In the ’50s and ’60s, “Impeach Earl Warren!” was plastered on billboards and bumper stickers all across God’s country. The judiciary is independent, but that does not mean that federal judges are exempt from the same robust criticism as presidents or members of Congress. Obama himself attacked the Citizens United decision in a State of the Union address, with the justices sitting right in front of him. But Trump’s real hanging offense was that he brought up the judge’s ancestry, as the son of Mexican immigrants, implying that he was something of a judicial version of Univision’s Jorge Ramos. Apparently, it is now not only politically incorrect, but, in Newt Gingrich’s term, “inexcusable,” to bring up the religious, racial or ethnic background of a judge, or suggest this might influence his actions on the bench. But these things matter. Does Newt think that when LBJ appointed Thurgood Marshall, ex-head of the NAACP, to the Supreme Court, he did not think Marshall would bring his unique experience as a black man and civil rights leader to the bench? Surely, that was among the reasons Marshall was appointed. When Obama named Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, a woman of Puerto Rican descent who went through college on affirmative action scholarships, did Obama think this would not influence her decision when it came to whether or not to abolish affirmative action? “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” Sotomayor said in a speech at Berkeley law school and in other forums. Translation: Ethnicity matters, and my Latina background helps guide my decisions. All of us are products of our family, faith, race and ethnic group. And the suggestion in these attacks on Trump that judges and justices always rise about such irrelevant considerations, and decide solely on the merits, is naive nonsense. There are reasons why defense lawyers seek “changes of venue” and avoid the courtrooms of “hanging judges.” When Obama reflexively called Sgt. Crowley “stupid” after Crowley’s 2009 encounter with that black professor at Harvard, and said of Trayvon Martin, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” was he not speaking as an African-American, as well as a president? Pressed by John Dickerson on CBS, Trump said it’s “possible” a Muslim judge might be biased against him as well. Another “inexcusable” outrage. But does anyone think that if Obama appointed a Muslim to the Supreme Court, the LGBT community would not be demanding of all Democratic Senators that they receive assurances that the Muslim judge’s religious views on homosexuality would never affect his court decisions, before they voted to put him on the bench? When Richard Nixon appointed Judge Clement Haynsworth to the Supreme Court, it was partly because he was a distinguished jurist of South Carolina ancestry. And the Democrats who tore Haynsworth to pieces did so because they feared he would not repudiate his Southern heritage and any and all ideas and beliefs associated with it. To many liberals, all white Southern males are citizens under eternal suspicion of being racists. The most depressing thing about this episode is to see Republicans rushing to stomp on Trump, to show the left how well they have mastered their liberal catechism.)

-- Inflatable rat at tollway HQ brings home state's political divide - Marni Pykehttp://www.dailyherald.com/article/20160606/news/160609349/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A large inflatable rat making itself at home on the Illinois tollway's front lawn may put the agency in the unusual position of protesting itself. That's because the giant rodent's visit comes courtesy of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, whose president, James Sweeney, is a tollway board director. Yes, "that's our rat out there," Sweeney said of "Scabby" at a recent meeting. "We invented him." In April 2015, directors, who are appointed by the governor, voted 6-3 to rescind a 1994 policy requiring contractors to hire unions in exchange for guarantees of no strikes or walkouts. Excising the multi-project labor agreement reflected the influence of Gov. Bruce Rauner, who has sought to curtail the power of public-sector unions by limiting collective bargaining and workers' compensation. At the time, a Rauner spokesman said the policy would save money. Sweeney and two other directors, however, warned strikes could delay the tollway's road-building program and put unskilled laborers on complex projects.)

Ever-increasingly, anti-Trumps make it clear that if you support Trump, they will get rid of you, and especially if you are Protestant, conservative, Republican, American, White, male, older, rich, gun owner, and/or if your ancestors have been in America longer than their ancestors.)
http://www.cantondailyledger.com/news/20160606/democratic-congressman-calls-trump-racist
(FROM THE ARTICLE: " Donald Trump's criticism of a Latino judge overseeing a lawsuit involving Trump University shows that the presumptive Republican nominee for president is a racist, a Democratic congressman said Monday, and he told Trump to take his proposed border wall and "shove it up your ass."  Rep. Filemon Vela of Texas said in an open letter that Trump's "ignorant anti-immigrant opinions," border wall rhetoric and continued attacks on the judge "are just plain despicable." Vela, who represents a district in southern Texas along the U.S.-Mexico border, called Trump a racist, adding, "You can take your border wall and shove it up your ass." In the Senate, top Democrat Harry Reid of Nevada lobbed a blistering fusillade at Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., for failing to denounce Trump's attacks on the federal judge presiding in a lawsuit in which Trump is the defendant. Trump University is the target of two lawsuits in San Diego and one in New York that accuse the business of fleecing students with unfulfilled promises to teach them secrets of success in real estate, an allegation Trump has denied. U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel is presiding over the San Diego suit, and Trump has said Curiel's Mexican heritage means he cannot ensure a fair trial for Trump, who wants to build a border wall to keep people from illegally entering the United States from Mexico. Curiel was born in Indiana to Mexican-born parents " making him, in Trump's words, "a hater of Donald Trump." Republicans have warned Trump to drop his attacks on Curiel, which they said have hurt the GOP's efforts to reach out to Latino voters. Vela said in his letter that Trump's position "with respect to the millions of undocumented Mexican workers who now live in this country is hateful, dehumanizing and frankly shameful." The "vast number" of immigrants from Mexico work in hotels, restaurants, construction sites and agricultural fields across the United States, Vela said. Meanwhile, Reid said "McConnell is the poster boy for Republicans' spinelessness that allowed Donald Trump to be the Republican nominee" after the Kentucky Republican declined to label Trump's assault on Curiel as racist. Reid said Trump is the natural result of Washington Republicans' anti-Obama agenda, saying GOP leaders have "embraced the darkest elements within their party." The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Trump promises to build a wall along the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexican border and make Mexico pay for it. Some 650 miles of border fencing now sits on the border, including roughly 15-foot-tall steel fencing in many urban areas that is designed to stop or slow those trying to cross the border on foot. Vela said he would rather "tear the existing wall to pieces." While there's no doubt that Mexico "has its problems," it is also a U.S. neighbor and its third-largest trading partner, Vela said. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has documented that trade with Mexico accounts for at least 6 million jobs in the United States, he said.)

My critics/opponents do.  They stress that my parents had enough money to send me to Trinity Lutheran Grade School in Crete 1953-1961 and to Hope Lutheran Grade School in Park Forest 1961-1962 to stay with the Missouri Synod.  I could ask my critics/opponents what did their parents have enough money to do.)http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-haves-and-the-have-nots-1465254202

TIME
-- Big Banks’ Stigma May Be Fading for Ambitious College Grads  250,000 recent college and business school grads applied to work at Goldman Sachs this summer. - Ian Salisbury  (DIERSEN: Democrats run the federal government. Because of that, the federal government has a terrible stigma.  Because of that, federal employees and federal retirees have a terrible stigma.  Prospective federal employees should be advised that because of the Democrats who run the federal government, they will be viciously despised if not viciously hated. GAO hired me in 1980 because it could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, younger person, or veteran who would take the job.  IRS hired me in 1971 because it could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, or veteran who would take the job.  The Post Office hired me in 1966 because it could not find a qualified Democrat, minority, female, or veteran who would take the job.)
