RIP Jack Mabley
Jack Mabley died.
He wrote about starting a blog in his last print column and that's what got me interested. I had never heard of blogs before.
My wife and I always read his column and talked about what he had to say. His passing a real loss for Chicago.

I’ve never hesitated to make predictions. They don’t jeopardize my reputation because my reputation is being wrong more than right. On that note, I predict that Kerry’s margin of victory will be substantial. And he’ll carry a flock of Democrats into public offices with him.
And Barack Obama will be the first person of color to become President.
He might be right on the last one.
I enjoyed Mabley's columns when I was growing up. His voice of common sense was a welcome relief from the extremist columnists, then and now.
