State Board's online voters guide up -- see which candidates took advantage

The State Board of Elections has launched their online voters' guide. It's a modest form of campaign finance reform, because it's a very low-cost way for candidates to get their message out to all voters in the state (and thus avoid the need to raise a ton of money to pay for mailers or TV commercials). It would be better if a print version were mailed to every voter as lots of other states do, but it is a start.

The online voters' guide is here. Check it out. Hopefully the guide will be expanded to state candidates in the future (only federal candidates and appellate judicial candidates are in the guide now).

And notice that lots of candidates didn't participate! If you are working for a campaign or know someone who is that is not listed, get them in touch with the State Board of Elections fast to get on the site.

The Chicago way is to not leave a paper trail and tell people what your stands are.

It's time for that way to go into the history books.
