GOPUSA ILLINOIS Daily Clips - October 8, 2008

Only 27 days until the election!

GOPUSA ILLINOIS
-- How much further will Obama's supporters drive the stock market down to elect Obama? Voters should not surrender to financial terrorism - Dave Diersen
www.gopillinois.com
Obviously, the Democrat Party platform puts America on the road to socialism. Obviously, no country, no organization, and no individual that wants McCain and other Republicans elected on November 4 is driving the stock market down. So obviously, countries, organizations, and individuals that want Obama and other Democrats elected on November 4 are driving the stock market down. Outrageously, what they are practicing is financial terrorism. Beyond outrageously, they are threatening to drive the stock market down even further -- they want a mandate to immediately replace capitalism with socialism. Needless-to-say, Americans should not surrender to financial terrorism. Needless-to-say, Americans should vote for McCain and for the other Republicans.

ABC7
-- FROM THE ARTICLE: Most polls are indicating that Obama was the winner, but the supporters of McCain would disagree. "This is the same John McCain that I have always known. He is going to tell people what it is. John McCain is straight talk. He will look people in the eye. As a leader, he will tell people the good news, but he is going to tell them the bad news. That's what the essence of a leader is," said Jim Durkin, Chair Of McCain's Illinois Campaign.

http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/clout_st/2008/10/romney-to-raise.html
(THE POSTING: Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential candidate, is coming to DuPage County to help U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam raise campaign cash in advance of the Nov. 4 election. According to an invite mailed to potential donors, Romney will come appear at a $1,000-per-plate private dinner at the Oak Brook Marriott on Oct. 21. The Roskam campaign is hoping the event will raise $100,000. Roskam represents the 6th Congressional District, a seat previously held by conservative icon Henry Hyde. Roskam succeeded Hyde by defeating Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth in 2006. This time out, Roskam is being challenged by Des Plaines Democrat Jill Morgenthaler, a retired U.S. Army reserve colonel who also served in Iraq. Roskam campaign spokesman Matt Vriesema said Romney is a huge draw in the Chicago area. "A lot of people in the Chicago business community and the Republican organization find him an exciting person and an exciting candidate," Vriesma said.)

-- Romney is coming to town for Roskam - Joseph Ryan
http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/703
(THE POSTING: Former Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney is set to swing through the suburbs and raise cash for U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam. The fundraiser is set for Oct. 21. The entrance fee is $150 or $250 with a date. It will run $1,000 per person and $1,500 per couple to get into the dinner and for a photo with the former Massachusetts CEO. "Romney coming to campaign for the congressman is a reflection of the congressman's accomplishments," boasted spokesman Matt Vriesema when asked about the recently announced fundraiser. Roskam was actually an early and staunch supporter in the primaries of Sen. John McCain, who easily took DuPage County and the state. The fundraiser will be held in Oak Brook. Romney is not currently scheduled to raise money or stump for any other Republican candidate in the state.)
