Chicago To Eliminate Mini Drug Bags

Remember this headline, "Ban on tiny plastic bags sandbagged"?

Well the Chicago City Council's Health Committee has followed thru on it...

Aldermen have given preliminary approval to an ordinance that would ban the sale or possession of tiny plastic bags often used by drug dealers.
...
The bags are two-inch, sealable, plastic and stamped with little logos, like hearts, spiders or superhero symbols. And 2nd Ward Alderman Bob Fioretti says, in his area, they’re used to hold crack cocaine and heroin. Many are decorated with little logos that police say identify the kind of drugs contained within.
Hmmm, shouldn't the city council find ways to maximize revenue since the Mayor is talking about a partial city government shutdown or laying off workers?

Hat-tip Uptown Update!

I know at least 2 alderman(woman) who use crack (and powered cocaine) maybe they use those blue bags from the city.
Maybe tax the drug dealers and make money.
Alderman Rikki Munoz of the 22nd ward was a cocaine dealer at Northern Illinois University.

Narcotics traffickers capitalize on weak border control in Kosovo. The Kosovo Border Police is a young service, lacks basic equipment, and only has a mandate to patrol the "Green Border" (area where there are no official, manned borders or administrative boundary line gates) from two to three kilometers beyond the actual border and administrative boundary lines. NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR) has roving teams that patrol the green border up to the actual border and administrative boundary lines, but traffickers easily take advantage of numerous passable roads leading into Kosovo that lack border or administrative boundary line gates. Moreover, narcotics interdiction is not part of KFOR's mandate; they seize narcotics they happen to encounter while performing their duties, but they do not actively investigate narcotics trafficking. Kosovo Border Police and Customs agents are susceptible to corruption. Kosovo officials are attempting to tackle the problem, but United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) officials believe some officers allow narcotics shipments."
