GOPUSA ILLINOIS Daily Clips - March 25, 2008

NBC5
-- DIERSEN HEADLINE: NBC5 video clip brings us all up to date on JACK RYAN and outrageously all but argues that JACK RYAN agrees with the Combine's directive to the news media to cover up BILL FOSTER's serious divorce problems. If the Combine wanted OBERWEIS to defeat FOSTER, the Combine would have directed the news media to a) promote FOSTER's serious divorce problems and b) promote those problems as evidencing a fatal character flaw.

-- Stop political corruption, elect candidates who really are conservative - Dave Diersen
www.gopillinois.com
(THE COMMENTARY: The first test of being a conservative is that you respect the rule of law. Elected officials who really are conservative would never engage in or allow political corruption. Anti-conservatives, like Rod Blagojevich and George Ryan, believe in moral relativism and that "the end justified the means." They believe that if they fight against conservatives and fight against conservative principles, they do not have to respect the rule of law and they can do whatever they want. The anti-conservative Daily Herald does everything it can to elect anti-conservatives in Illinois and to reelect anti-conservatives in Illinois. Then outrageously, the anti-conservative Daily Herald hypocritically asks "Where's the outrage?" over political corruption in Illinois (SEE DAILY HERALD EDITORIAL ABOVE), when in fact, the anti-conservative Daily Herald constructively argues that to keep conservatives out of statewide elected offices in Illinois, political corruption is a reasonable price for Illinois citizens to pay.)

Very very very VERY sad. John McCain has again claimed that "no one believes that Iraq diverted attention from Afghanistan" and the fight at Tora Bora in which the B-Team allowed Osama Bin Laden to escape. In fact Gen. Tommy Franks was very disturbed by the fact that he had to pull time and resources from that fight and divert them to Iraq.
How Sad!

Since March 8th there has been nothing but a long string of finger-pointing, whining, and bickering in this column about how 'the combine' stabbed Oberweis in the back and got Foster elected.
I'm tired of it. You guys lost plain and simple. that's it--the end!! Illinois is crashing and burning around us and all the state GOP can do is point fingers and blame each other. At a time when they should be presenting themselves as an alternate to Blago and company they are daily becoming a bigger and bigger joke!!! Till you guys get your act toether instead of finger pointing and blaming each other for your position, you will decline to the point where you can't elect a dog catcher in Wheaton!!
re Foster's divorce--be careful what you wish for. Remember there is an ex-Mrs Oberweis too, and I do not think their split was the most amiable either. What comes around goes around.

Jack Ryan should run for office. He is still a great candidate.
His scandal is small compared to most if it is even a scandal at all.

Ryan (JACK! not George or even Jim at this point) should run and is a great guy.

But the Combine did support Oberweiss--he was endorsed by newspapers like the Sun Times and Combine member Denny Hastert (the guy who tried to stop Patrick Fitzgerald).

Also Sen Lauzen was not very gracious and oppossed Oberweiss.

Jack Ryan in 2004 was better than any Republican running in 2008 (although Jim Nalepa running might of been good as a lot of vets are ticked off at Durbin for his anti-American anti-troops comments)

Jack Ryan should run for Senate or governor or be the ILGOP chair.

Jon Blessing should run for Recorder of Deeds.

Anonymous,  3:58 PM

Jonathan D Blessing could beat Gene Moore.
