STATE OF ILLINOIS
-- DIERSEN HEADLINE: VERY VERY VERY SAD: Fortner, Franks, Fritchey, Froehlich, Harmon, Hunter, Mendoza, and Sandoval sponsor HJR0111, a joint resolution that would direct "the Joint Committee to prepare materials relating to the question of calling a constitutional convention." Beyond tragically, if the Illinois Constitution were to be changed now, it would end up looking like a radical liberal version of the radical liberal Democrat Party platform - higher and higher and higher taxes; more and more and more people attracted to Illinois who demand more and more and more welfare - people who lack education and job skills and people who have severe health, financial, and other problems.

Interesting.
Here is one GOP missed. It turns out that John McCain SOUGHT THE ENDORSMENT OF Pastor John Hagee, who believes that hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for a New Orleans gay rights parade.

So very very very very very very very very sad.

Diersen,

How about deleting the links to newspaper articles and simply offer a commentary on a particular topic when you post.

Dave Diersen, you are not making it easy for people to like you. Please stop.

I have to agree. I hate to pile on, and I believe you offer a very important and valid point of view. But your posts are so incredibly long it monopolizes what is supposed to be an aggregate collection of opinions.

Please consider focusing your commentary on one or two topics, then linking to your own blog for the rest of the day's information. Or linking to an e-mail list where those who choose to read the full synopsis can get it.
