CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
-- HARDCOPY ARTICLE TITLE: Does Chicago need Illinois? - Mark Brown  (DIERSEN: Ever-increasingly, the Democrats who run Chicago blame the rest of Illinois for Chicago's problems.)
http://chicago.suntimes.com/politics/brown-after-brexit-why-not-chexit-does-chicago-need-illinois/
-- As subsidized housing spreads, suburbs face rising number of poor - Chris Fusco, Tim Novak, Mick Dumke and Brett Chase  (DIERSEN: According to this article, a) Wheaton has 343 subsidized households, up 249% from 2000, b) Glen Ellyn has 169 subsidized households, down 2% from 2000, c) Naperville has 769 subsidized households, up 519% since 2000, and d) Crete has 13 subsidized households, up 13% from 2000.) http://chicago.suntimes.com/news/subsidized-housing-spreads-suburbs-face-rising-number-of-poor/
(FROM THE ARTICLE: Big rise in DuPage County  The growth of subsidized housing in other communities, while not as great as in southern Cook County, is also evident in other parts of the region. Of 245 suburbs in the six-county metro area, 193 — nearly four of five — have seen a rise in the number of subsidized-housing households. Several communities that reported having no subsidized households 15 years ago now have dozens of them, among them Darien, Inverness and South Elgin. The most dramatic increase has come in DuPage County, where the number of subsidized households has doubled, to about 5,700, even as the county’s population has held relatively steady. Naperville and Carol Stream each gained more than 500 households receiving housing aid. They’re among six DuPage County communities — Downers Grove, Glendale Heights, Wheaton and Westmont are the others — with more than 300 subsidized-housing units. Those communities all have large numbers of apartments that voucher-holders can rent, says Kenneth E. Coles, executive director of the DuPage Housing Authority, which oversees nearly two-thirds of the county’s subsidized households. “For so many years, DuPage was really under-utilizing the number of vouchers they had available,” Coles says. “We’ve had growth over the last couple of years, building up to what our limit should be. It’s going to even off.”)

ALTON DAILY NEWS
-- Illinois Republican Party Executive Director Nick Klitzing Criticizes Democrats For Not Holding Convention - Greg Bishop
http://altondailynews.com/news/details.cfm?clientid=17&id=217200#.V2-zRRGBmM8
(FROM THE ARTICLE: The Illinois Republican Party says Democrats' failure to hold a state convention is another sign of Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan’s top-down approach to political power. Nick Klitzing, executive director of the Illinois Republican Party, said state conventions are a way for political parties to hear from their grass-root members. Klitzing said the state Democratic Party's failure to hold a convention this year sends a bad signal. “I think it says a lot about the state of our politics and the state of the Democratic Party in Illinois that Mike Madigan and his key leadership doesn’t believe that they have any need to listen to the grass roots of the Democratic Party,” Klitzing said. The Illinois Republican Party held its state convention in May. The  Illinois Libertarian Party also held one this year. Steve Brown, spokesman for the Illinois Democratic Party as well as Madigan, said he couldn’t recall the last time the state Democrats held a convention. A measure on Gov. Bruce Rauner’s desk would make state conventions for political parties optional. Klitzing said the legislation is a sign of Madigan’s power. “It’s really easy for Speaker Madigan and the Democratic Party establishment to just eliminate the need to have a state convention all together because what they say goes, and I think that’s really unfortunate,” Klitzing said. Brown didn’t address the GOP’s criticism. Instead he said Republicans are poorly informed and trying to escape presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. Brian Gaines, a political science professor at the University of Illinois, said conventions can shed light on the health of a political party. “It might get them a little extra press. That could be good or bad if the party is divided. The press could really emphasize if there’s an unhappy faction." But Gaines said there’s not enough study on the true impact of conventions on grass-roots party activists.)-- Rauner Says A Stopgap Funding Deal Is Close - Greg Bishophttp://altondailynews.com/news/details.cfm?clientid=17&id=217194#.V2-yXhGBmM8

(FROM THE ARTICLE: The evangelical Christian faith I’d grown up with sustained me. It demanded that I refuse the drugs and alcohol on offer in our southwestern Ohio town, that I treat my friends and family kindly and that I work hard in school. Most of all, when times were toughest, it gave me reason to hope. I’m hardly alone in benefiting from that faith. Research suggests that children who attend church perform better in school, divorce less as adults and commit fewer crimes. Regular church attendees even exhibit less racial prejudice than their nonreligious peers. The M.I.T. economist Jonathan Gruber found that for many of these traits, this relationship is causal: It’s not just that privileged kids who attend church skew the data, but that attending services produces good character. http://www.theworldbeast.com/donald-trump-presidency-stone-age.html
(FROM THE ARTICLE: William II and Hitler were famous for their pathological egotism and belief that Germany existed for their own aggrandizement. Both were fierce racists and anti-Semites. They believed in the principle of “world power or downfall.” They had a firm faith in the superiority of German race. They started a programme of enormous armament by developing German military on modern lines. William II and Hitler became powerful rulers and acted upon an aggressive foreign policy to subjugate other nations. It was due to their unskilled diplomacy that militarization of Germany alarmed France, England and Russia. Thus, they humiliated the Germans, as their country was defeated in the World War I and World War II. Hitler’s character and adverse circumstances in Germany helped him to come to power. The Germans were badly humiliated by the Treaty of Versailles (Peace Settlement 1919) which resulted into multiple crises, particularly unemployment in Germany. Hitler was a great orator and his techniques of propaganda helped him to influence millions of people. The Germans felt that Hitler could not only resolve their problems, but could also restore the glory of Germany in the eyes of the world. The more Hitler manipulated the injustices of the Treaty of Versailles, the more he became popular with the public. Like the despotic kings of France and Russia, Adolf Hitler’s internal policies were authoritarian and totalitarian. Liberty disappeared completely. The secret police-Gestapo was formed to deal with the slightest indication of opposition. He mixed politics with religious fervor and massacred several Jews in the concentration camps. Hitler and his Nazi party had planned to conquer colonies for the German people in the East and South of Europe. Similarly, like Louis XVI and Rasputin, Donald Trump’s political character is full of “stupidities.” Besides, following William II and Hitler in the modern era, Trump promised to restore American prestige and to make America great again. Like Hitler, Trump succeeded in mobilizing the electorate of the Republican Party with promises to restore jobs and to resolve the internal problems of the US. During his emotional speeches, Trump’s body language and way of speaking were not less than those of Hitler. Nevertheless, despite the resistance from his own party, he won over his fellow candidates in the nomination race. So far as the propaganda tactics, one can easily see resemblance between Trump and Hitler. In this context, on May 31, 2016, nearly 400 pages of a US court documents revealed, “Trump University instructed employees on how to play on peoples’ emotions to get them to buy more expensive seminars for succeeding in real estate…it is our job to rekindle peoples’ motivation…to make them once again see the potential of achieving their dream…the documents unsealed in San Diego were part of a lawsuit by customers who say they were defrauded…a judge who has earned Trump’s scorn agreed with attorneys that the public had a right to know what was previously confidential.” As part of the anti-Muslim approach, and with the support of its Western allies, American President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama deliberately created chaos in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Egypt and Syria, including other Islamic countries such as Somalia, Yemen etc. where Washington was indirectly involved. If Hitler had erected concentration camps for Jews, Bush and Obama also converted these countries into concentration camps for the Muslims to obtain the illegitimate political and economic interests of the Zionist Jews and Israel. In case elected, as the US president, Donald Trump who wants to complete the unfinished agenda of Israel will continue anti-Muslim policies. Following in one way or the other, Hitler, Trump manipulated the terror attacks in Paris and Brussels to get the sympathies of a majority of the ordinary Americans and those of Europe, who do not have much time to go into depth-analysis and have been misguided by his emotional speeches, statements and false hopes.)
