http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/napervillesun/business/1069356,6_3_NA23_FOURDAY_S1.article
(FROM THE ARTICLE: In Will County, auditor Steve Weber's office has been testing out 10-hour shifts, four days a week with workers taking either Friday or Monday off. Weber said that, so far, 60 percent have preferred Fridays, which could affect holidays down the road. "With a lot of Monday holidays anyway throughout the year, people could pick up an extra day off," Weber said. "We talked about this program thoroughly as a staff, and at this point, we plan to continue indefinitely. The staff's only concern was that they didn't want this to be a 'summer-only' experiment, and it's not." Weber's office has attracted national attention. He has received numerous calls from nearby counties and government agencies as far away as Georgia who have asked about the four-day week. During the week of July 14, he received a call from Jim Rasins, his counterpart in DuPage County, who told Weber he was interested in possibly starting a similar program.)
