-- DuPage County taxpayers, pluck these dandelions - Mike Davitt, Naperville
http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=169624&src=
(THE LETTER: Instead of Saturday's headline, "Democrats popping up like daffodils," a more descriptive simile would have been: "Democrats, and their close Illinois RINO (Republicans In Name Only) cousins, popping up like dandelions." Like persistent dandelions, Democrats and RINOs are nothing but weeds. Their incessant tax-and-spend existence chokes off hard work, entrepreneurism, savings, and charitable giving in return for a nanny state that's never going to be big enough. As a result, the state of Illinois ranks among the top third in terms of overall taxation, and its going to get worse. Taxpayers here know they're not getting anything more for the nonstop tax increases. Eventually, the pendulum is going to reach its apex. Until that time, Democrats and RINOs will continue to stifle growth and achievement with their intellectually vapid behavior that believes throwing more money at it is the solution to every problem. Keeping dandelions out of your yard is as easy as weed killer. Keeping Democrats and RINOs out of our lives is as simple as voting.)
