Eenie, meenie, minie, moe . . .

To whom it may concern:
(Particularly GOP conservative gubernatorial candidates Bill Brady, Jim Oberweis, Steve Rauschenberger. . . on the day before State Treasurer Judy Baar-Topinka announces she's running, too)
Eenie, meenie, minie, moe . . .
Rock, paper, scissors . . .
Short straw. . .
Pick one, guys, and just do it. Do it this week.
When the ILGOP Wise Guys gather to read the tea leaves and pick who the candidate should be this Friday, beat them to the punch. Go in there and tell THEM who you have decided is running for governor, LT and treasurer.
Save us conservatives the heartache and heartburn, the sleepless nights reliving the Keyes nightmare, the national embarrassment.
Save yourselves millions of dollars, nasty rubber chicken dinners, kissin' snotty-nosed babies and huggin' little old ladies.
Eenie, meenie, minie, moe . . .
Draggin' us poor, helpless church-going, right-winged sheep down the crooked path to irrelevancy and destruction will condemn all of you to eternal political hellfire and damnation -- which will commence the day after the March 2006 primary when none of the three of you win.
And we all lose.
Get on with it, boys. Pick one. We don't care which one of you it is -- just pick one! Then work your fannies off doing unto others what you would have them do unto you. Help us all by helping each other.
It's very simple. It's called humility. It's called class. It's eventually called winning.
Now get in line.
Eenie, meenie, minie . . .

It isn't going to happen.

Fran, you are on to something about the three "conservatives" in the race being too many, but your starting point, that conservatives are "poor, helpless church-going, right-winged sheep" and that "when none of the three of you win. . . we all lose" shows why the conservatives who who follow the three stooges are doomed to lose.

First off, many thinking conservatives make up their own minds, and are not swayed by exhortations or endorsements by "conservative" think tanks. This pro-life, home schooling, Phyllis Schlafly supporting, gun owning conservative will vote JBT, because I think the others are ego driven idiots in mid-life crises, or because none of the "conservatives" can play the accordian, or that they have no integrity, or whatever reason I like. This is America, and a good many people, including a good number of conservatives, reserve the right to vote for whom we like and feel no obligation to vote for whom we dislike. This is not the USSR, where ideology reigns supreme in the face of reality.

Second of all, the three conservatives have all entered the race thinking that his opponents not everyone would win, and expecting his losing opponents would support him if he lost. Now we hear talk that if all three lose, they will not support the winner. Again, you only get into this hypocrisy if ideology reigns over all, including integrity.

Last, I agree, there are too many conservatives in the race. But why quit at one dropping out? Why not be principled, and encourage two or three to drop out, lest we all lose in November? It will never happen, as some already in the race put ideology above principle, and then have the gall to claim they have integrity.

Fran is still proving to have the most irrelevant opinion in politics. Come on Fran, wise up. These silly idealism rants provide comic relief, but that's about all. Maybe if you wish hard enough Santa will actually come to your house and put a perfect conservative man in your stocking.

Fran, are you ready to admit that Paul Caprio was right? Because you are starting to sound like him.
Fran Eaton helped lead the Republican party into the corruption of George Ryan and the destruction of the conservative movement with false messiah Jack Ryan and Elmer Gantry Alan Keyes.
If Fran Eaton really cared about her issues, she would apologize and get out of politics where she clearly is either a destructive force for the issues she claims or a spy from the liberals.

Good to see Fran reenter the political world....with a loud thud....for Fran to use the word "class" after writing for the leader is hilarious.

Here's the trouble with people like Fran...they rail against the so called "combine" because they're left out of what they think they're entitled too....for all their talk about reforming the Party, all they want are the jobs...wish they'd just admit that and be honest for a change.

They should all drop out and let Mike Ditka run unopposed.

Wasn't Fran Eaton teamed up with that hypocritcal dynamic dou of Doug Ibendhal and Cathy Santos.
Cathy Santos is a former Democrat whose sister and brother in law are liberal Democratic elected officials supporting things like gay marriage and abortion on demand that supposedly Fran Eaton is against. Doug Ibendahl was at the large corporate politically connected firm of Mayer Brown where he worked for the conbine and was a lawyer for Rich Williamson. Doug was a lawyer for the party during the George Ryan era. Fran Eaton supported George Ryan. Fran is a hypocritical joke.

Paul Caprio was right about Fran Eaton.

Fran Eaton should apologize to Paul Caprio, the conservative movement, and the taxpayers of Illinois for backing George Ryan, Jack Ryan, Alan Keyes and being a divisive force in politics.
If she does not apologize, she really is a liberal plant as other posters have suggested to hurt conservatives.

Did I miss something? Did Fran Eaton admit that Paul Caprio was right.
