More Blagojevich Pandering to Illegal Immigrants
Cross-posted at: IllinoisPundit: More Blagojevich Pandering to Illegal Immigrants
Governor Rod Blagojevich is up to more political pandering. This time, he announced a mortgage program that allows illegal immigrants to get mortgages for houses.
On Sunday, state housing officials and Gov. Rod Blagojevich announced a new state-backed mortgage loan program aimed at making home ownership more accessible to first-time buyers, regardless of immigration status.
This is becomming crazy. First was All Kids, which didn’t have a residency requirement, opening up the taxpayers to paying for illegal immigrants children. Next came the while licenses for illegal immigrants. Now we have this. Of late, Blagojevich has been putting the needs of illegal immigrants ahead of those of legal Illinoisians.

Nice outrage. You know, if those mean immigrants will just go home, all our problems will be solved.
I thought illegals couldn't vote, so why does he pander so much? It's not like he'll get less than 75% of Hispanic vote as it is.
This nut we call a governor will not be happy until the state becomes totally bankrupt.Does he think we are communist and everything is suppled by the state.
Yeah, and Rauschy and Brady have both given comfort to illegal aliens.
Rauschy sponsored taxpayer tuition to illegals in the Senate, and Brady voted for it.
And, for extra employment protections for day and temp labor services; of which some of the 340,000 IL illegals are heavily into.
Why don't we single out someone else for abuse and scapegoating. Someone who is actually adding to the state's problems and proving to be a real drain on the economy. And they vote. That would be...amputee dwarfs on crack.
I take great offense to that. We pay or share of taxes just like anyone else. Pick on someone your own size (and with all their limbs)
So, we're not already paying for the health care of "illegal immigrants children" when they show up -- along with other uninsured kids -- at the ER?
And we're probably not benefiting from the sweat of their underpaid labor, either.
Get real, people.
I thougth the reason IL didn't lose another seat in the House after the census, was due to immigration. If that's so then encouraging immigrants (illegal or not) to move to IL might be in our interests.
